Modern Filipino Restaurant : OMBU

Nothing beats our very own Filipino cuisine.

Somewhere in Timog Ave, Quezon City you will find a very homely fine restaurant. Named OMBU. The interior was quite eye catchy. From the ceiling up to the couches and wall. The ambiance was quite comfy. With a very humble and approachable crews. When we came in, they greeted us with smiling faces and offer a table for us straight away.

Our original Filipino favorites was reinvented with a little dash and surprise to make it more different from what we used to. So, here's their menu:

Their menu look so fancy! :)

The prices ain't that expensive. Well, Big serving naman. So it's all worth it.
We came here as a group so we ordered the majorities choice that could satisfy our hungry tummy. Since we all came from work somewhere in Q.Ave.

For our appetizer, we got Bulalo for 490php.

Since I got no time to took some pictures of the foods I just grabbed it from their facebook site. Pero konti lang. Some are mine. haha
Anyways, their bulalo was very appetizing. Not that salty and not tasteless. Since we are group, From the hot traditional palayok the chef it self divide it in front of us.

Of course this is not a Filipino cuisine if there is no Rice!

Garlic Rice
Garlic rice costs 90php good for 8 person. That, if you're on diet. But if not, hmmm.. Good for 3 or 4. haha.

Bagnet Dinuguan 280php
A twist of dinuguan. Less lamang loob. Just Bagnet and a piece of brocolli. I love the bagnet! :)

Sisig 250php
Sizzling Sisig it is! The best. They didn't put too much oil. The best so far.

Crispy Glazed Chicken 240php
And my all time favorite. Battered chicken with glazed of sweet and spicy garlic sauce. Ohh this one is awesome!I thought it tastes like Bonchon chicken but no.. Unlike Bonchon na balat lang ang may lasa, This one was very appetizing.

hern Crusted Mahi-mahi 395php
Well, Im not really a fan of seafoods or fish dishes.. But this one is great! I love the taste of cream sauce and the flavored herb crust.

We haven't got the chance to order for a dessert since we're all so full and bloated. But as far as I know, their Beignet with Tsokolate Eh Drip cost 145php was their best seller for desert. I wish I could have that next time.

Overall, My tummy and I enjoyed our Ombu experience. From the accomodating staffs to it's mouthwatering foods. I will surely go back this time with my family.
